By day Roddy, like so many of us, spends his time behind a desk or on the phone to people like me. His pondering is very similar in grumpiness level to mine so its no wonder I get his comedy ramblings.

I am hopeful that by being his friend and critic he may one day earn money from this venture and like the rest of my friends remember a pool old soul like me!

Music maestros - 

Denny Lloyd - http://www.dennylloyd.com - I have known Denny for many a year now and he performed at my 50th bash performing his own renditions of old songs and some of his own well penned gems. 

He has music samples available on his web site as well as albums on ITunes and Spotify and is available for music lessons. 2012 saw the opening of his own recording studio (Put Out Productions) and the release of his latest - and I believe best album - If Symptoms Persist. DAOR - www.daor.co.uk - This band are new to me but I have worked with the guitarist Mark Byrne for about a year. On a beery night out in Nottingham he revealed that he played in a band, a loud band, a very loud band and was surprised when I expressed an interest (well it meant I got a free CD). 

They describe themselves in their Myspace page -http://www.myspace.com/daor - as Death Metal / Thrash Metal and they aint kidding, personally I have an appreciation of all music that is done well and these guys are definitely skilled performers. Comedy Turn - 

Neil Tollfree - AKA Off Target Productions. Another friend who has a lot more talent than I can shake a stick at, and believe me he can make shaking a stick at something really funny.
